-Justin finishing fellowship (which means we'll be seeing a lot more of him around here - yay)
-Moving (there are highs and lows here)
-Starting our new lives in ID
-NOT having a baby (which means getting in killer shape)
-Living close to my family and being around for all the exciting events that will be happening this year!
-Perhaps a vacation or two...
So you can see, I've got big plans for 34. It was a birthday that didn't disappoint either! I woke up to this sweet note on my mirror:
Justin has taken to calling me RABF (rare and beautiful find). It's because I'm like a unicorn. I'm lovely, perfect, mysterious, and pasty white.
We also learned, while watching the Olympics, that apparently 34 is seriously old. If you're a 34 year old Olympian you've got one foot in the grave. This note is still on my mirror several days later. It makes me laugh. Love this guy of mine.

Josie dressed up fancy for my birthday. She informed me that all girls should be fancy for birthdays. Not sure I was quite as fancy as her (in fact, I know for a fact I wasn't), but I love that she tried to make my birthday special in her own sweet way.
Let's talk about this cake. For the past few years Justin has gotten me my favorite red velvet cake from our favorite local bakery, Indulgence. It tastes much better than it looks (which should say something, seeing as it looks amazing). This cake entered my house late Friday afternoon and was gone early Sunday afternoon. I ate a lot of cake. I regret nothing.
A birthday pic with my favorite girls. We tried to get a better one, but there was something weird about every picture. I finally just landed on this one (even though Josie is kind of photo bombing in the background and not in the main shot like we'd tried for).
Not all the kids appreciated the deliciousness that was my birthday cake. Sammie, however, totally got it. She demolished her piece and even tried to lick her plate. A girl after my own heart.
After cake (dessert first) Justin and I got a babysitter for the kids and went out to our favorite sushi restaurant. It was delicious, as always. Then we came home and watched a movie together. Perfect.
34 is definitely off to a good start. I felt loved with all the phone calls and numerous rounds of "Happy Birthday" that were sung to me all day. It was exactly what I wanted.
I love where I'm at in my life. It is so good. I can't wait to see what happens this year! Happy birthday to me indeed!
