Isn't this a sweet face...
He looks so sweet and innocent and angelic. However, he is capable of very bad things...

That's right!! This is SHARPIE!!!! These are only pictures of two of the places he colored. He also got his sheet and pillowcase, the ladder of the bunk bed, the carpet, and a Leap Pad book. Where was his mother, you wonder. Well, she was in the bathroom, for two minutes - TOPS!! I have no idea where he got the Sharpie (we keep them up pretty high - but, as I've said before, he's a climber). He must have known that his time to wreak havoc would be limited because he sure did color on everything he could find in a very short period of time. All of this occured minutes before we were supposed to leave for our ward's Trunk or Treat so, after I yelled and cried (oh yes I did) and punished (just time out - we needed some 'apart' time) we had to leave. I tried to get it off with no luck. I thought the day was ruined. However, when Justin came home (he'd been gone all day - but he knew of my struggles due to a couple of tearful voicemails) he arrived with...
YAY!!! Lo and Behold - the Sharpie CAME OFF!!! Of everything except the bedding (sad, but not as tragic as my walls or cabinets). I always love Justin but I have to say I my love for him grew at that moment. He saved my walls, my sanity, and my relationship with my baby. Needless to say, the Sharpies are now safely hidden away to prevent future disasters. I did have to laugh though, when Clayton saw it. I was getting ready for the trunk or treat when he saw the wall. He gasped and said, "Mom! What did you do!?!" Seriously Clayton, you think I did this? I had to laugh a little and I told him that Noah did that. To which he replied, "Noah made a VERY bad choice!" Clayton was certainly my comic relief at that moment.

**The moral of this story - I can never go to the bathroom again.**

I am so sorry. I dreadfully await the day when one of my kids does this. Clayton’s reaction was super funny though.

Hahaha thet is funny!! Pretty soon he is going to get a hold of the scissors, and I am pretty sure the magic eraser cant fix what he will do!!

Justin brings home the coolest things! That's so good to know about those awesome eraser wipes.

Ha, Clayton blamed you. That's hilarious. Too bad it hadn't been you, redecorating or something. Some sort of modern art on the cabinets and sheets and such.

I definitely think magic erasers are a gift from heaven. Just make sure to keep them in a secret place. I remember seeing a news story about a kid who rubbed them on his arms and burned himself pretty badly. Glad things turned out ok!

Yikes! Thank goodness for magic erasers, I actually have quite a few. That's hilarious that Clayton thought you were the culprit!

Oh my gosh that sucks so bad! I can hardly wait for such adventures. My friend's little boy used sharpie all over their leather couches. Let's just say that Mr. Clean wasn't a whole lot of help that time. I'm so glad most of it came out for you!

I seriously think whoever invented those things should have a place reserved in heaven.
spray some hairspray on the sheets. depending on how long it's been there it will help.

I can't believe that the sharpie came off... Mr. Clean really is amazing! It is hard to believe that Noah would do something like that after seeing the first picture!

Oh no!!! Sharpies are the devil. Well that is what I thought after one hot up my brand new couches last year. Thankfully the couch cleaner people got it out! Glad to hear that cleaning stuff works because I have some pen marks on my walls!!!

Those are bad pictures. What a story, that will be funny from here on out, but not so funny at the time.

Hi Ariane! I found your blog from Jen's. I haven't seen you in forever! When was the last time? My bridal shower - like 3 1/2 years ago? Your boys are SO cute (except of course when they take a Sharpie to the walls). Those Magic Erasers really are magic. Good to see you're doing well!

Three cheers for the Magic Eraser! It has saved my bacon too. I swear little kids have magic detectors to find the permanent markers and ink pens no matter how hard you try to keep them up. I'm glad you saved most of your stuff. Oh, and Happy Nevada Day!
