I'm really happy today. Here's why:
I have really good friends who bring out the best in me. One such friend is Mindi, who thought it would be a good idea for us to make these dresses for our little girls. It was a good idea Min! I'm so glad we did it.

They're called pillowcase dresses and they are a dress for a baby, a tunic for a toddler, and a shirt for a kid. I love that they grow with the baby! (Thanks Vanessa, for enhancing this picture - I love it!)

Obviously it's still a little bit big for Miss Jo, but I still think it's too cute (although what isn't on her)!

I feel such a sense of accomplishment that I made this! Watch out world - I'm getting crafty!

This kiddo finally got a much needed haircut:
Before:

After:
Looking at these pictures I'm actually really missing his long hair, but I know that he appreciates the fact that it's not in his eyes anymore.

It's a little longer on the sides than on the top - the goal being to go with a tousled/messy/spikey look. He's definitely going to rock it! Thanks Supercuts!

This kid had his first "sharing" in school this week. The theme was 'I made it myself'. So he made rice krispy treats for his class. He really did do the majority of it himself. I only helped him when things were too hot to hold. He then gave a little presentation to his class and told them how he did it. He practiced really hard to memorize the steps - what a smartie! I'm so proud of him and how well he's doing in school!

Finally, I caught this moment and it still brings joy to my heart:
If you can't see how big Josie's smile is - enlarge the picture. She absolutely adores her big brothers and they adore her just as much. Clayton knows that he can make her smile bigger than anyone else and he spends a lot of time entertaining this little lady. I'm not sure life gets any better than this moment!

So you can see - I have a lot to be happy about right now. There are days when I get frustrated with these kids but it's these little moments that make me realize just how great my life is!
Coming soon - my vacation in Maine with the ladies. That's right - no husbands and no kids. Stay tuned!

Cute dress!! I am really impressed.
I love Noah's hair, it looks really handsome!
That last picture of Clayton and Josie is so cute!
ditto Kerstin's comments! Noah looks super handsome with his haircut. It never ceases to amaze me the difference long hair vs a short cut can make on a boy. Both are cute but the different looks are just so strikingly different from each other. You make cute kids you and justin.
Congrats on the dress, it looks wonderful, and I am super impressed with your skills!!! Also, Noah looks so old with his new haircut, he is going to be a heart breaker!

I have heard of those pillowcase dresses, but I don't know how to sew! Anyway, it turned out darling! That haircut totally makes Noah look older!
