I'll be back

I know it seems like I've been a super neglectful blogger...and perhaps that's true. But here's why:

We left our beloved home in Indiana. We are officially homeless (for a little while). It was a sad goodbye to South Bend. It was a great place for us and was so hard to leave. Hopefully we will fall in love with Idaho just as much.
We road tripped to Wisconsin to visit our very best friends. It will also be hard not being in driving distance of them, but we're working hard to recruit them to Idaho so hopefully we won't be away from them for too long,
We road tripped to South Dakota to see Mt. Rushmore! We had pretty low expectations going into it (we'd heard it wasn't that cool) but, aside from being really small, it was great! We had a great time. (Plus, afterward, we went to Reptile Gardens, which was just awesome!)
This one's a little out of order, but we just happened to meet up with our best South Bend friends as we were road tripping through Idaho! Seriously, it was the weirdest coincidence. Noah was so happy to see Daxton, he cried (but don't tell him I told you)! It was very sweet.
Rewind. We road tripped to Wyoming to go to Yellowstone National Park. This deserves it's own post so right now, I'll just say that we loved it and I'm very happy that we'll only be four hours away from it!
Back to Idaho. We road tripped to Jerome to check on the progress of the house. It looked pretty rough (though it does have a roof, doors, and windows now) but it was fun to see the progress. Fingers crossed for a September closing date!
We road tripped to Las Vegas to see our favorite people! It's always like breathing a sigh or relief to be home again with these ladies (minus Anisha - she's here now though, so phew). Even though we're crowded, there's no one I'd rather be crowded with!
We road tripped to Boulder City to see my other Grandparents. My Grandpa has dementia and isn't doing so well, which makes me endlessly sad. These two are the best, I tell you. The best. I love them so, SO much.
We road tripped to California to Newport Beach. California will also get it's own post, but here I will say that, even though it was cold, it was tons of fun. Plus, we got to fulfill one of Clayton's dreams of standing in the ocean and being "out of the country" (this kid, he's hilarious)!
And now we're here. I'm actually writing this post from my hotel room I'm Anaheim. It's been a long time coming, this vacation of ours. We are having the times of our lives. I will certainly write more about Disney (there is just so much to say - and it's only day 1 of 3)!! We're here with my sisters and their families and my sister in law and her kids. My parents get in tonight and then the party will really start. Love this fun family of mine and the fun and special memories we get to make together!
So now you see why I've been such a slacker. I'll try to be better (I have to be, there's so much to catch up on now)! However, right now I'm going to go pass out in bed and dream of all the fun in store for my little family tomorrow!

You're still kicking my butt in blogging. I am struggling so bad lately to find the time and it's making me so sad. I just need to sit down and write! So thanks for the inspiration!
