Las Vegas - part 2

So part two is all about Josie's blessing. We decided to bless her in Las Vegas so that our families could be there. Justin gave Josie a beautiful blessing. I am so grateful to have him as my husband and the father of my children. We also appreciate our family and friends that were able to make it out.
Josie and her friend Afton.

Our family (well, some of our families - we were missing you Peterson's, Ellsworth's, and Rose's).
Our little family.
Our family and friends.
After church, we had a dinner at my parent's house that both sets of my grandparents came to. I'm very lucky to have four amazing grandparents. I also realize how blessed I am that my children can meet them and get to know them. I love these people!
Grandma and Grandpa Peterson.
Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt.
It was such a wonderful day. Thanks to everyone who helped make Josie's first important day so special.

Okay, here's where this post gets long. Josie was so beautiful in her dress that I just had to get pictures taken of her in it!! My dear friend Rachel was kind enough to take some beautiful shots of Josie. You can find her photography HERE. If you're in Vegas and looking for someone to take your pictures - I would highly recommend her! Anyway, she took a ton of pictures and I am having a hard time narrowing down my favorites! It's an amazing combination of a gorgeous baby in a beautiful dress and some great photography. Since I had a hard time choosing only two or three, I'm just going to post a ton. You're welcome!
I love that you can see her bracelet so well. I made it for her, just for this occasion! (I also made myself, my mom and sister matching ones.)
I love 3/4 profile shots. I have one that Vanessa took of Noah when he was about 10 months old that is still one of my favorites of all time!
When Rach said that she wanted to shoot on this bench, I was a little skeptical, but they are my FAVORITE shots! I love the contrast of the beautiful new baby and dress with the old, antique bench.
I realize that these are practically identical, but what can I say, I love 'em both!
Her bow was slipping into her face, but she started smiling so big that I hesitated to fix it and wipe the smile off her face. I LOVE this little smile, and I'm such a lucky mom because Josie doesn't hesitate to share it with me!
This face is just classic Jo.
This is, I think, my very favorite one. It reminds me of an old fashioned portrait of a high society lady relaxing on a bench.
She just looks fascinated with something here.
I like this one because you can really see the skirt of her dress...
...which she looks totally fascinated with here.
I like the antique feel of this shot (and that she's sucking her thumb - also classic Josie).
Gotta love those baby blues!
Another sweet, smiling, bow-in-my-face moment!
Thanks again Rachel. These photos are priceless and I know that Josie will appreciate being able to see them when she's older!

P.S. I love your haircut, and you look great, I would never guess that you just had a baby 3 months ago.

What a special trip. It's amazing how similar our taste is...that is the blessing dress I have been eyeing for Emily, but haven't had any luck finding it in a 3-6 months. Josie's pics turned out great!
