Summertime means we've been doing a lot, but I haven't been taking pictures of a lot of it. Perhaps that'll change but with four kids to keep track of at the pool/beach/splash pad this summer I wouldn't count on it! Here's what we have so far:
Sammie. She's going to be 10 months old this week. Sad. She's starting to seem so big to me. I can't believe I'm only two months away from having my BABY be one!
Clayton has been complaining lately that the metal clips on his ties have been irritating him so on Sunday we got out one of Justin's ties and (with the power of the internet) we looked up how to tie a tie.Very dapper.
We've been trying to get Josie to quit sucking her thumb. I've been trying to use nailpolish as an incentive. I let her pick out a color at the store (pink and sparkly of course) and we painted her nails. She knows the rule, "If you suck your thumb, the polish comes off". She's very proud of her polished nails and has been very careful not to suck her thumb. Let's hope it sticks.
Running through the sprinklers. This is such a definitive summer activity. My kids LOVE it!
Love this action shot of Noah.
What do you do after you're done running in the sprinklers? Dry off in the warm sun while eating a popsicle. I love summer.
Sammie has been weaning herself from the bottle lately (girl LOVES her some table food). Obviously she's too young for this so I had to very aggressively cut her off from table foods entirely. She struggled a little at first because she didn't want to take the bottle but she eventually got over it and has been back to taking the proper amount of formula for a few days now. As a reward for taking the bottle again I let her have an avacado. Half an avacado to be exact (but she'd have eaten the whole thing). She ate that thing in record time and was so incredibly happy afterward - she sure missed table food. She also made a huge mess. Notice the avacado smash on the wall next to her. Love this girl!
Now you're all caught up with our summer so far. Clayton has his last baseball game on Saturday and I am bound and determined to photograph some of it! Other exciting events heading our way: Grammy is coming to visit this week, Noah starts gymnastics next week, Sammie's turning 10 months old, the three older kids will be starting swim lessons at some point, Clayton's doing a triathlon, most of my family is coming to visit, and Clayton's turning 8 and getting baptized! It's definitely going to be a busy summer.
